Susan's Story

My story just started last month. We were at Disney world resort. I was having trouble walking upstairs without losing my breath and have very mild chest discomfort. Went to the hospital in Florida and discovered my heart function at 40%. My anagram was ok. Come home called a cardiologist. I just had my second echocardiogram yesterday. The doctor on duty said my heart function is much lower. My diagnosis is dilated cardiomyopathy. I’m trying to learn about it. I’m scared but kinda relieved because its a start to know why I’m not feeling 100%. I trust God’s plan for me and learning I don’t have to always understand His Plan. Literally I’m learning to walk by faith.

Update 4/4/2013: I learned that I’ve stage 3 in Heart Failure.   I schedule for a pacemaker/defibulator this month. I got to talk with the Heart Clinic Educator about Heart Failure and treatments.  I feel so much more hopefully that I get better. Education is so important.
