Heart disease is still the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. Women just like us – mothers, sisters, friends – are dying at the rate of one per minute because they don’t know what I know: heart disease kills. That’s why I want you to take action now and become part of the movement against women and heart disease. I’ve sent you the Heart Health Kit below so you can get heart healthy. You can also sign up for the movement and get your FREE red dress pin.

Joshilyn detail

Joshilyn

Joshilyn, a 41-year-old Atlanta resident, is a happily married wife and grateful mother who lives each day to the fullest, because she knows how fragile life really is. Having both parents diagnosed with either heart disease or hypertension makes Joshilyn aware of her genetic dispositions. But it still shocks her to read that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women.  That said, this former smoker and “endorphin junkie” who exercises every day  knows she has to make better health choices in her life, especially since her cholesterol is starting to rise and she continues to struggle with her diet. Another motivating factor for her to become a BetterU is her two children. Most people claim they have the best kids, but Joshilyn says she really has them.

Along with her Go Red BetterU journey, you can also keep up with Joshilyn on her personal blog at Faster Than Kudzu

Joshilyn's Video

Watch Joshilyn’s story and meet a woman who wants to be a BetterU for her kids. She wants to be there to see every minute of their lives, but knows that will require a few life changes. See her admit to her guilty food pleasures and talk about how she plans to make better eating choices.
