Surviving/living with heart disease

39 and getting a stent
Posted on 03/09/10 at 10:19 AM

I've known someday I'd have problems.  I've been a diabetic for 35 years and had HBP and high cholesterol for 19 of those years.  Heart problems also run in my family - my mother, my father, my late uncle.  Luckily, I've been aware of what I need to do and have always tried to do it. I'm not perfect, though.  As soon as I began having shortness of breath and pain in my clavicles, I went to the doctor.  Don't ignore anything different in your health - it could save your life!!
