No Longer In Denial
Posted on 07/28/10 at 8:21 PM

In February of 2009 I had a triple bypass. I came home and everything was back to normal. I am married and have 2 young sons, ages at that time was 4 and 6. I did not have any help whatsoever. My husband had to go back to work. He is Self Employed( so he said). I was left to take care of kids and all that was involved with the home.Needless to say I was also under a alot o stress due to the fact that my husband is a heavy drinker. I put my health at risk so that I could take care of everyone else. On the 4th of July we went to Kemah to take our boys to see the firworks display. I noticed that after walking a certain distance I felt out of breath. I told my husband this and he told me to sit down and rest some. After awhile I did resume walking again and the shortness of breath continued. this had never happened. I did not bother to say anything else. did not want to ruin their day. The next day was the 5th A monday. I did not feel good at all. I told my hubby. I was like that all week. Feeling weak from my left side, out of breath. Went to the hospital ER. They did a Heart Cath and discovered that where they have done my triple bypass, my arteries are GOOD< but the other arteries are severly Damaged. They cannot be stented. They put me on more meds. My PROGNOSIS IS 8-9 YEARS.I should have taken care of Myself Better. that is my Story
