Research has shown that men and women have different outcomes for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Because women have often been under-represented in clinical studies on cardiovascular disease, it is difficult to determine whether critical research findings apply to women in the same way they apply to men.
This Is Where You Come In

The American Heart Association is seeking $10 million for research on cardiovascular diseases in women to level gender disparities.
This Is Where We Come In

The funds raised will put new research projects in the pipeline to help close the knowledge gap in cardiovascular research between men and women.
