Surviving/living with heart disease

Delayed going to the hospital.

My symptoms for my heart attack at 49 were for me not what I expected.  I started getting pains off in my chest right below my collar bone.  I have had anxiety attacks in the past with the same symptoms so I thought nothing of it.   I finished my day at work and the pain never went away, when I got off my bus going home I was out of breath and had to stop a few times and I live only a block away.  I still did not think it was a heart attack so I went and laid down I did not go to the hospital until 8:00 that evening and discovered I was really having a heart attack.  I had stent put in  and now I am more careful and watch my signs more closely than ever.  Don't wait like I did I was lucky next time I may not be, listen to your body and if you feel something is not right go with that first instinct I know I am.
