Heart disease is still the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. Women just like us – mothers, sisters, friends – are dying at the rate of one per minute because they don’t know what I know: heart disease kills. That’s why I want you to take action now and become part of the movement against women and heart disease. I’ve sent you the Heart Health Kit below so you can get heart healthy. You can also sign up for the movement and get your FREE red dress pin.

Nadia

When 32-year-old Nadia was given a brochure on how to live life after congestive heart failure and saw an elderly woman on the cover, she panicked. On the brochure, she read that most people live only 10 years after having it. Fortunately, Nadia’s cardiologist reassured her that she could beat the odds.

Nadia experienced high blood pressure and preeclampsia during her pregnancies. After the birth of her daughter, she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Despite everything, Nadia’s in good health. She exercises, eats whole grains and does yoga to de-stress from her career as an attorney and professor because she knows how stress can affect heart disease. Nadia wants to be there for her children for a long time, and that’s why she chooses to be a BetterU.

Along with her Go Red Better U blog, you can follow Nadia on www.mamalaw.com where she blogs with fellow BetterU bloggers, Nyasha and Stacey.
