“To communicate with a parent in their native tongue concerning the medical care of their child quickly puts them at ease and provides them with a clear understanding of care instructions.” — Beverly Quiros
Beverly Quiros is a junior at the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University. Her desire to become a bilingual pediatric nurse stems from a childhood of frequent doctor visits for her and her four brothers. Her father suffered a partial stroke when Beverly was 13, which confirmed her commitment to serving in a health capacity.
