Linda Johnson’s Story

Heart Attack Survivor, ROSELLE, IL

LINDA's Story

It started with a heart attack 17 years ago.  I then found out I was born with an ASD – Atrial Septal Defect which gave me the HA.   2003 I had open Heart surgery to close the hole.   2009 I had a tricuspid valve replacement due to regurgitation.    My cardiologist says I do not have heart disease…but I have structural issues.  My heart had rhythm after the surgery so they put in a pacemaker.   Now my mitral valve is leaking so we are watching it closely.   This might mean another OHS.  It has really been an emotional struggle.  But I try to take one day at a time and I have God’s grace and a supportive husband and I am OK!
