Shannell's Story

I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse when I was 26. That diagnosis was quickly followed by IST (inappropriate sinus tachycardia). I went to several cardiologists and electrophysiologists. I was put on several different heart medications and went through every test imaginable. In April of 2012 and November of 2012, I had an ablation done. These were both unsuccessful. I had another ablation June 26th that resulted in junctional rhythm with 2.8 second pauses in heart beats. I was fitted with a pacemaker June 28th of 2013 and feel absolutely amazing!
