You deserve more freedom.

It’s okay to have a healthy obsession with the food you eat – we get it. You deserve the right to choose what’s in your food, but that decision isn’t always up to you. By one recent estimate, in the American diet we consume:

  • 50% of calories and 90% of added sugars are from highly processed foods
  • More than 70% of our sodium intake comes from processed, pre-packaged and restaurant foods

Why does this matter? It shows that many food and restaurant companies have already decided what’s in your food before you even order it. You deserve more freedom to know what is in the foods you choose to eat(link opens in new window). Join us and demand change.

You don’t have to be a doctor to save lives.

You just have to use your voice to speak out about building healthier communities and healthier lives. And the good news? Momentum is building right now! More food companies are listening to us and offering healthier options. It’s important for us to recognize their progress and to keep asking for healthy changes.

We’re a community of fathers and mothers, neighbors and friends, researchers, healthcare providers, government and professional organizations. We’re passionate about making healthy changes to our foods to create a world free of heart disease and stroke. Together we can advocate for heart-healthy and stroke-smart communities. We all have the power to make a difference – take the first step and join us in fighting to be healthy for good.

Take back control of the foods you eat(link opens in new window) – join the movement today.
