On December 12th, the American Heart Association, sponsored its second TeleTown Hall call about the health care law, this one invited our Go Red For Women audience. It was a TeleTown hall for AHA volunteers to discuss and learn about the health care law, known as the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare. It was a wonderful way to share with our supporters important information that can help to advance the AHA mission and improve their heart health. The call was moderated by AHA volunteer Dr. Mary Ann Bauman and featured one of our “Real Women” Go Red For Women spokeswomen, Keisha Hawes, whom briefly shared her compelling story, and we had a guest expert, DeAnn Friedholm, from Consumers Union (the publisher of Consumer Reports magazine join us for as an expert on the call.
